$1m for 37 bucks.
Book ahead and grab a beachfront tent site at the Fingal Head Holiday Park. It will set you back $37 but you get a million dollar view of the sparkling Pacific Ocean and foreboding Cook Island.
From your tent it is about fifteen steps to the beach and there is beautiful coastal vegetation surrounding the shoreline. Bring your supplies as there aint too much going on in Fingal itself. There is a local store however the prices are outrageous! Ipaid $1 per egg and $1.50 per rasher of bacon.
There are great facilities in the campground, BBQ’s, washing machines, kids playground and showers and toilets so it is pretty self contained.
Mid week is the best chance to grab a spot and its also nice and quiet vs the weekend..
Fingal really is a stunning place and you could really kill a few days here just staring out at the ocean listening to native birdsong and exploring the little rock pools on low tide.
It is barely a half hour drive from Surfers Paradise and wouldn’t be more than an hour fifteen from Brisbane so perfect for a quick getaway.
